As a future Racer these Lyrics have been my prayer and meditation since the idea of the World Race has came into my life. These words are my desire, I want nothing more than to fully trust in the God and have Him lead me where He wants me.
Tonight as I was listening and singing these words I had the desire to flip my Bible open to Matthew where Peter and Jesus are on the water. I can’t help but to feel like Peter during this process we are going through. He saw Jesus walking on the water ( so amazing) and he needs confirmation,
” Lord if it is you, tell me to come to you on the water” (Matt 14:28)
Just like me when the Race came into my life the first thing I did was say God if this is you send someone to tell me. “Come,” Jesus said to Peter. Just like God told me to Go! God sent me confirmation over and over again. Finally, I took that leap of faith and got out of my comfortable little boat and into that water, but then the wind came. The fears, the doubts, and the unknown.
I have cried out over and over God save me, are you going to get me through this? Will you really provide the money for me? Am I really who you are wanting to send? Can I really leave everything behind? After reading through chapter 14 all I can do is laugh a little because I can hear God saying ” You of little faith… Why did you doubt?” I feel like especially during this time I have had so many doubts about what is calling me to do and I know that when my 11 months are over and I come home and my life is forever changed God is going to say ” You of little faith.. Why did you doubt?”
Why do I doubt? God is so faithful to His promises, and I know that He is never going to leave me. Worrying and doubting doesn’t add anything good to our lives. It is time to fully surrender over everything I have, every ounce of doubt and uncertainty and live the way I know I should. Live a life full of Faith, knowing that God has big plans and that He will be glorified! I am finally going to get out of this boat and walk upon that water.
I will call upon your name.
Keep my eyes above the waves.
My soul will rest in your embrace.
I am yours!
And you are Mine!
