Hey everyone! I guess this is the part where you tell everything and anything about yourself so here it goes….I am 20 years old and I was born and raised in Blackwell, Oklahoma. It’s one of those towns where everyone knows everyone. So, I guess you could say i’m your typical small town girl. I love God first and foremost. He’s my Rock, my Deliverer, my Stronghold, my Dependence, my Love, my Life, and my Everything. He is the center of my life and I just kind of revolve around Him

I also love sports..you name a sport and I probably like it… football, basketball, baseball, softball…the list goes on. I mainly played basketball and softball growing up but when college hit, I gave up softball and just played basketball for two years. Now I’m that has-been that just loves to watch..haha :). Although, I could never get out of sports so now my major in college is Athletic Training. I have a couple years left but I figure that can wait until after this amazing experience :).
My joys in life are my family… I have a big family and I wouldn’t have it any other way. My parents’ names are Scott and June Shepherd. I pretty much have the best parents in the world. They serve the Lord with all their hearts also and they have shown me an awesome way to live my life. I have learned so much from them whether it be integrity or intelligence, and I am so grateful for God to have blessed me with them. My dad is incredible. I have never met a man that loves his family the way he does. He always strives for what is right. He is a successful buisness man. He has the biggest heart of anyone I know and he loves the Lord. I just can’t explain to you how great he is :). My mom is absolutely amazing too. She is everything a woman strives to be. She is strong, capable, loving, generous…well…we call her supermom 🙂 because she is!! I also have a brother and two other sisters. The oldest sibling, my brother, Justin (26), is married to Carla and has two children…Tucker and Landry. My brother has always been someone I looked up to. He has always respected people with the upmost respect and he has always had a tender and generous heart. Tucker and Landry are the excitment of the family needless to say. Tucker is 3 and is about as onery as they come but, he is absolutely precious. Landry is the newest member (2 months) and she is adorable! Kortney, the oldest sister, is 22 and Kandee, the middle sister, is 21. They are the greatest sisters ever! We laugh so hard and give each other a hard time that its hard not to say that I love them! As you can tell, I kind of love my family 🙂 and thats only the immediate.

So here is my salvation story….I have been saved ever since I could remember. Bible verses were pounded into my head from the time I was born, and I have always been in that strong christian family and surrounded by loving christian friends. However, I had no idea what I was up against until my world was turned upside down when I hit college. It was there that I learned that God wanted me to stand on my own two feet and have my own faith rather than living off my parents faith. God put me in a whirlwind of tests and I failed over and over again. I just could not figure it out. Thing built up and built up when suddenly I broke. I knew I didn’t have anyone to turn to except God, so I found myself on my knees in my college dorm begging for a change and for hope. It was then that I found God’s mercy, grace and unconditional love all on my own. I was searching for God whole-heartedly and found myself in the midst. I knew I was never turning back from the relationship that He and I built together. Now two years later, I find myself here. I would never have even imagined this would be where I am today. But here I am! 🙂
