Take your creativity and kiss it with passion right on the mouth, then let it kiss you back. Give yourself permission to love that part of you that scares others to death: your muse, your thinker, your child, your dreamer, your explorer, your artist, your heart, your ideas, your creations. They are yours, and that alone makes them great and worthy.
So write the book you cannot find, the one that tells your story. Sing the song that haunts you in your dreams. Bring your wild vision forth and fill the hungry canvas. Get that art out of you, as if you could push your own heart right out of your mouth. Don’t worry about it being wrong; don’t worry about it being good enough. There is no art police but your own inner judge, your critic, your resistance to wrongness and imperfection and mistakes. It’s not an awful noise I promise you; it’s wonderful. Your creativity is not just what you do….it’s who you are.
So this is a stand il go ahead and take, just to release our inner child again. Those moments where we would spin and dance and laugh (too loud), just cause we could. Those memories of coloring outside the lines cause the picture was too small and there were just too many colors to choose from… they should have never left our character. Does the opinion of others shape the truths we believe? Should it? Do you not have a good voice cause you were told so? or do you not sing out loud cause someone else sounds “better”? I love that our Father created so many voices, i thank God we don’t all sound the same…boring!
Well here I am, i want to get over and bust out of this “im not creative” box. My creativity might not look like yours, it might not sound or feel like yours, but isn’t that what makes it creative?
Just some thoughts that i like to share. maybe we should all go back to the markers with no erasers. Just color, create.
So as most of you may know I am co-leading the U-Squad World Race team starting in January. My co-leader is Julie Lortz she went on the C-Squad World Race and has spent the last couple of years at Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry. She is beyond fabulous, I have to admit I did not know such a wonderful/well rounded woman of God existed. I am super excited to share these next few months with her. My squad is WONDERFUL, i wish i could come up with a word that really describes them, but i havent gotten that creative just yet. I cannot wait to see their faith and love increase over the next year. Already their character is pushing and challenging me to be better and seek the Kingdom further. I love them and have such a heart to see the Kingdom of God be released through them.
Once again thank you all for reading, supporting, loving on me. I would not have been able to experience this past year without you.
