My team has had the pleasure of getting to meet several different ministries so far this month in Guatemala City. One of them was started by a man named, Micah Nelson, who has been in Guatemala serving the Lord with all his heart since 2007.
Like many of us, Micah had plans of his own back in the States but God called him to something greater and unexpected.
Micah is originally from Ft. Worth, TX(hey ya’ll!) where his parents virtually run an organization known as HOWW(Helping Orphans World Wide). He works for HOWW here in Guatemala City as well as serving in various other avenues God has led him to. From rehab centers, to the dump, slums, and orphanages God uses Micah to share the gospel, make disciples, and shine the light of Christ.
What intrigued me most about Micah’s ministry “The Church Without Walls,” is that he isn’t affiliated with any sort of denomination or church. He just seeks to be the church with other believers and grow deeper in his relationship with Jesus.
Micah has shared countless stories and testimonies from his time being here and it is so encouraging to see how God will use a surrendered life.
I am so thankful to have met, Micah. He has been a friend to us and I look forward to seeing how The World Race can serve his ministry in the future!
