To my brothers and sisters in Christ,
In the Bible, there are many things asked of us, “love the least of these, care for the widows and orphans, boldly proclaim the name of Christ, go and make disciples of all nations” … These are commands. And for every believer, fulfilling these commands will look differently. For me, in between graduation and Physical Therapy School, I’ve been called to be the hands and feet of Jesus by being on the front line and actually going. Going to the ends of the earth into broken cultures that are desperate for the love of Christ to invade their lives, their homes, and their communities. Yes, there is a need everywhere, even in my own neighborhood. The Lord has made provision in providing for those needs. He has called me to be part of His provision in providing for the needs of countries overseas. I am asking if you would be willing to invest in me and the ministry God is about to place in my hands. Invest by committing to pray for me and/or giving monetarily.
You might be thinking “ Oh no, not another letter”. You give and have been giving and you wonder if it’s actually making a difference. I’m here to tell you that you are indeed making a difference. Every word spoken and penny given in the name of Jesus will not be in vain. He will not waste it and will see that it’s purpose in advancing the Kingdom is carried out into completion. So, I am humbly asking you to sacrifice. Sacrifice a night at the movies, dinner at a restaurant, or that Starbucks latte that is so dang good, and invest in something of eternal value. Something that the moths cannot destroy and something that the thieves cannot break in and steal. Invest in the Gospel. The gospel is the one hope of this dying and decaying world. And this message of hope, the gospel, has been given to me, and I hope to not waste one second and keep it to myself. I want to share it with others in areas where poverty has taken over, governments resist the good news, and where “the least of these” dwell.
So how am I making these aspirations come into reality? I am participating in an AIM (Adventures in Missions) trip called the World Race, an 11 month mission trip that goes to 11 countries to live among the poorest of the poor. Our destinations include The Philippines, China, India, Moldova, Ukraine, South Africa, Mozambique, Swaziland, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Honduras. Sound overwhelming? A little. But this is what I am suppose to do. And I am BEYOND EXCITED to see what the Lord is going to do through the teams He is calling into these countries.
What will our time overseas look like? That is a loaded question! A few activities that have been done by previous teams include building homes and churches, preaching in churches, working soccer camps, hosting VBS, working in orphanages, speaking life into the people we encounter and praying for their communities, finding street kids a permanent home, and that is a brief glimpse into what those 11 months might encompass.
If you do feel the Lord calling you to invest in the ministry God is giving me, I thank you greatly! Your donation will help cover the $16,200 needed to cover the expenses of this mission trip. The $16,200 covers all food, lodging, air, land & sea travel, immunizations, and travelers insurance. This is a lot of money but I am trusting the Lord to provide. Seeing that I need to raise around $2,000 each month from now until I leave is very intimidating however His ways are higher and with God, nothing is impossible. It’s crazy that He chooses to use us to fulfill His divine plan. Please take advantage of that opportunity by filling out the slip of paper included in the envelope.
