As many of you know I left America on an 11 month journey around the world called The World Race. We spent our time inside of the 10/40 window, which is the most heavily populated area in the world, as well as the most un reached and un engaged. This 11 months taught me so much about what the Kingdom of God is and how to truly LOVE people. We saw many people healed. Blind eyes received sight, demons cast out, and many came to faith all in the name of Jesus. We prayed for leppers, homeless people, prostitutes, kids in slums and many Syrian refugees. We even had our fair share of run ins with witch doctors and skull worshippers. We were key speakers at missionary conferences and had many opportunities to preach the gospel and tell our personal testimonies in various churches around the world. I’ve seen brokenness and levels of poverty I never dreamed possible. God absolutely broke my heart this past year and I 100% believe that this year has confirmed my calling to ministry and a lifetime devoted to the Gospel. So where is God taking me next?
What is the biggest challenge I see in the world? Plain and simple. Islam. One common statement I heard within Islamic nations this year is that Islam is a peaceful religion. That’s not true at all and I’ve met many pastors from the Middle East and missionaries alike that would agree. Yes there are many peaceful Muslims but Islam itself is not a peaceful religion. Now, I am not the most educated on the differences of Islam and Christianity but I’ve learned and know and have seen enough to know what Islam is doing to our world. There are over 1.7 billion Muslims in the world and statistics say that by the end of 2017 Islam will have surpassed Christianity in numbers. That is accounting for the high birth rate within Muslim nations as well. So what does this mean? Muslims are being born into and dying everyday believing a lie that for the most part has been passed down from generation to generation. You see our problem isn’t the Muslim people, it’s Islam. It’s Islam that is deceiving these people. I have come to love Muslims. They are beautiful people. They are the most faithful, God-seeking people I have ever met. Most of all God loves these people! There is story after story after story on the Internet of Muslims having dreams of Jesus and being visited by angels. God is moving within these people. I’ve seen first hand, God’s pursuit for his Muslim bride. It has been incredible to see and be a part of the movement that is taking place within the Islamic community. This is by far our Matthew 9 harvest and what’s sad is less then 5% of all missionaries going to the nations are going to Muslim nations.
So I have applied and been accepted to Kingdom Journeys: Pioneers. It is a 5 month trip through Adventures in Missions, the same organization that hosts The World Race. The World Race is wanting to send Expedition teams, which is what I was a part of, primarily to the Middle East. They want to take the idea of the 10/40 window and focus more on the Middle Eastern countries. As Kingdom Journeys Pioneers our main focus would be to find men of peace, possible ministry contacts, future host locations and to cultivate relationships with these people. As well as evangelism, prayer and serving opportunities. We will go in before World Race squads and map out transportation, lodging, safety, visa information and costs. We are essentially John the Baptist spirits making a way for God to work through these future World Racers. My prayer is that you would prayerfully consider coming a long side me in financial support. The entire cost of the trip is $7,690 and this includes everything from training and visas to food, transportation, lodging and ministry costs. Will you partner with me? God is doing something big in the Middle East and this is but a small opportunity for us to be his hands and feet. Yet has the potential to truly benefit and impact the Kingdom for years and years to come.
I will be given a new blog address as soon as I raise the $150 deposit and a link to donate but until then if you have any questions or concerns you can contact me via Facebook or by email at [email protected]. Thank You and God bless!
