So, if you read my last post, I kinda had a lot going on in my head. Sorry you if spent time reading that, but even ‘missionaries’ have hard days. And I use quotes because I feel we are all missionaries, it is not a job description for all…I will save that for another time.
Things are going much better now.
Quick update: I was super blessed by some sweet ladies at Sudan Medical Clinic and along with my last two paychecks I had the money to move half-way across the country and now I am in Georgia. All my current belongings are in a 3-bedroom apartment I share with 5 other girls; yes I have a roommate (and so far we all get along, but I don’t think there will be problems.) I am working with the World Race Department at Adventures in Missions on the logistics side of things. Right now I am observing and seeing how this side works.
So that is what has happened since September 25th. I have been busy with my Fellow friends getting to know each other, meeting people at Adventures and exploring the greater Gainesville area (including the Starbucks, Chick-fil-a, and Aldi in my neighborhood.) I have been to a leadership conference, two bonfires (with s’mores
), and a Wednesday night Bible-study, and a few other things. I have been busy.
I am excited to spend the next 6ish months in the Adventures in Gainesville community. I know this is a place I can grow in my walk with the Lord, expand my business knowledge, and help with different projects here. It is a place I hope to flourish.
I am so thankful to all my supporters who have helped me come this far. I know I am where I need to be and where God wants me. I am excited to learn from many people during my time here. I think it will be interesting to see how a missions organization works and what my role here and in the bigger picture is as well. You too can play a role during this time of discovery by continuing to support me. I am very grateful for the friendships I have and the prayers I receive. (It is nice to be in the same country and call your friends to hear a comforting voice.) However, I do still need financial support to continue in my program. If you would like to know the breakdown of costs, please email me [email protected].
