This post is long overdue, but I have been trying to process all that has happened at training camp. And there are some big things I feel I need to share from it, but first, I wanted to introduce my new family.

I have to say, walking into a camp with 200 strangers was not easy for me. I thrive off deep, honest relationships, and the first few days at camp made me realize just how much skill I have lost in the art of small talk. Throughout camp I was having huge breakthroughs along side of these strangers, yet they were still strangers to me. Until one day, when suddenly they became my family. I will talk more about that transition later, but suffice it to say, it was a CRAZY day where suddenly my walls fell down and were trampled all over.

So, here is V-Squad, my new family!

We are a group of individuals from such diverse backgrounds, and yet we’ve come together to form one cohesive unit. (And of course we won squad wars!)

And here is Team POP:

We are People of Power

Justin Schmidt – He is our team leader, which is great because he is exactly the type of leader I can easily follow. He allows all of our strengths to show and doesn’t overpower us. He has a quiet strength about him that I really respect.

We are People of Prayer

Jeremy Pena – He is definitely a people person with a big heart. He is laid  back, and has a way of making other people feel at ease. I can see him bringing a spirit of unity to the team.

We are People of Perseverance

Sarah Pena – Sarah has a way of uplifting those around her. She is a strong woman who has already challenged me to be bolder. She is also extremely compassionate and seems to see the needs of those around her.

We are People of Praise

Joe Bugg – He has such a fun, joyful spirit, and has a huge heart. He will definitely keep us all laughing all year, but I also know he will make our team stronger.

We are People of Peace

Sarah Taylor – So far she has been fairly quiet, but I see such potential in her. She has such a sweet, gentle spirit that draws me to her! I can’t wait to get to know her throughout this year and see her come alive.

We are People of Passion

Megan Thomas – Megan has such a fun way about her. She is strong, determined, and brings a unique spirit to our team. I think she will push us a lot further throughout the year.

We are People of Purpose

I’m so excited for January to begin this adventure with my incredible team!

Yep, I’m expecting BIG things
