DAY FIFTEEN / #fortydayfloodoflove
A Passionate Pursuit

We did a lot of evangelism in Ghana & that is how my teammates met Peter, the man in this photo.

The Church we partnered with would load us up in vans, drive us to a random neighborhood, and drop us off. So we were never in control of revisiting people we met…people like Peter. That’s why this photo is so special.

My teammates met him days prior (outside a bar?) and I wasn’t there.

But Peter remembered the conversations he had with my teammates and he was curious. So he prayed a few days later and asked God for a sign while on his way home from work.

That is when our van pulled into a new neighborhood, we stepped out, and Peter saw us for the second time. This time I was with the group.

It wasn’t planned but it was prayed for.

He knew immediately we were the “sign” he prayed for, and invited us into his home.

That’s how this photo was taken – while I shared a parable with Peter, an electrician by trade, who was considering “stepping out” in his faith. We also got to share with, pray for, and encourage his brother Phillip and his sister Veronica.

We didn’t get there by our own accord but by the Lords passionate pursuit for them. We got there through answered prayers and divine direction. God has a steadfast love and he’s chasing people down just like Peter, and you, to share it with.

Sometimes us normal people just get a chance to be bystanders and witnesses the passing of Gods great love!
