Funny, but serious.
Here is a photo of Emily Allen and I sitting at a bus stop in middle-of-nowhere Cote D’voire (headed to a village). We were guarding all of our belongings + our food for a week because we were in a prime location to get robbed.
It’s funny, but it was serious in the moment.
Emily is the same way. She’s given me laughter during tears of sadness. But she’s also sat down right next to me, given me a shoulder to cry on, and hugged me through my heart-breaks.
Emily has loved me well, and through her, I have seen glimpses of God.
