Do you know what God’s finger print looks like?

 I do.

His fingerprint often looks like running late, taking the wrong turn, or having your plans fall through at the last minute. Sometimes it is in the person you pass or the conversation you have while ordering food.

But sometimes His fingerprint is so obvious that you have to pinch yourself.

The more I started looking for His fingerprint, the more I would find it, and I believe that His fingerprints are worth remembering.

I write down these moments, because my memory sucks.

They are nestled in the back of my bible, and each month I start a new column for them. I hope to fill my bible with these precious moments by the time I return to America.

Today I want to share one of them with you.

This fingerprint is from our time in Colombia, and it is just a small glimpse into the greater picture of what God orchestrated during our time there.

Every Saturday morning, we would fast. Which meant waking up at 6 am to pray for two hours. One particular Saturday God gave me a vision of a little girl that I will one-day meet. This girl is deaf, bound by demons, and God plans to heal her. I told my team about this vision and a particular teammate of mine, Sara, causally mentioned how she believes God can cast out demons, but she had never experienced it first-hand.

The next Sunday morning we headed to a local church where we had been asked to preach. In all honesty, I think we had expectations for what the morning would look like. Five hours of church, in a foreign language, singing songs we didn’t understand, and being mentally drained by the end of it.

 But God had other plans.

After the service, the pastora asked us to pray one-on-one for each church member there.

We all lined up, grabbed hands, and began praying in English. (remember, the people we were praying for only spoke Spanish)

My teammate Sara ended up casting out a demon…

(look at the picture above, Sara is on the left holding hands with the woman who has collapsed)

Sara was praying for two women when one of them began swaying heavily, and Sara assumed that the lady was just really into the prayer….until she passed out. At that point Sara realized what was happening and began praying over the woman for anything evil inside to flee. Turns out the woman had been battling the devil for a long time. Pastora told us afterwards that she had drempt of this woman dancing with the devil, and satan told Pastora to let go of this woman.

After the prayer, the woman stood up and said had been struggling with attending church because she felt so much fear, but on this particular day she had attended without any trepidation.

I have no doubt that God was listening to our casual conversation on Saturday when Sara professed her faith in his power. His hand was also on this woman who typically didn’t attend Church. He orchestrated for us to be there. He had us preach and pray. He brought the woman to Church, and although we didn’t expect anything more than language barriers, God showed up like always! The Holy Spirit moved, and chains were broken.

This is what it is about people!
His fingerprints are everywhere; can you see them now?
Go find them. Write them down. Share them, and multiply them.
