Dear Friends and Family,
I am writing this letter to share the next chapter of my life with you. God has allowed me to be accepted into something called The World Race, which is an 11-month international mission trip as part of Adventures in Missions. Adventure in Missions is an interdenominational missions organization that believes in serving world wide to “the least of these”, and has been doing so since 1989.
Ever since I was little I have felt a calling on my heart to serve people internationally. Although I never knew where, or for how long, I just knew that it was something I was meant to do with my life. When I lived in the Dominican Republic last summer my heart was changed and it solidified the urgency for me to go. Hindsight is 20/20, and I can see that the Lord has spent many years preparing me for this journey. I have never been more willing or felt so at peace with a decision before in my entire life.
I will be leaving in January of 2017 for 11 countries in 11 months to share Jesus Christ. My route will take me to Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Montenegro, Romania, Cambodia, Thailand and Malaysia. Within each country we will live in the raw community serving the poor, sick, broken, and hopeless. All the while growing in discipleship, relationship, and prayer.
Fundraising is a part of my journey and ministry just like feeding orphans, preaching in churches, and visiting hospitals. I need both the financial support and prayer support from family, friends, and church partners so I can share the stories of what God is doing all over the world. As I take this large step of faith in trusting the Lord, would you consider partnering with me? Let me go be your ambassador to nations. I will be your hands and feet to serve others with the love and good news of the salvation and hope that is available in Jesus Christ. There is so much opportunity to further the Kingdom as I travel to these 11 countries, but I cannot do it without YOU!
I have to raise $16,617 and meet deadlines in order to continue on The World Race.
Financial Deadlines: $5,000 due September 23rd, $10,00 due December 12th, $13,000 due February 28th, and $16,617 due April 30th. Also an additional $3,000 for expenses not covered in the $16,617 include: (travel to and from training camp, launch and return from The World Race, vaccinations, malaria pills, and required gear (backpacks, tent, sleeping bag, headlamp, etc.) To date I have raised $1,020.
Can you donate $5 a month? $10 $20 $50? or even $100? Every donation helps. Your financial support will help me spread the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ by covering the costs of air, sea, and land travel, lodging, food, and training.
- To make a contribution via check, please make it out to Adventures in Missions, with “For Kelsay Singleton” on the memo line, and put it in the pre-addressed envelope included.
- If you would like to make your contribution online via credit/debit card, you may do so by visiting www.kelsaysingleton.theworldrace.org and clicking “Donate” on the upper right-hand side. You will then be directed through the process of making a one-time, monthly, or quarterly gift.
If you cannot donate financially I would still love to share this journey with you. The biggest compliment you can pay me is by sharing my story, and if you would like to partner with me prayerfully please send an email to ([email protected]) with “Prayer Partner” in the subject line. I look forward to emailing you update letters throughout my time on The World Race. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to email me.
I am praying that God would place on your heart the best way for you to support me. I am so excited to see how God will work and be glorified in this process!
