Dear Friends and Family,
I hope this letter finds all of you well. I am thankful that in my life I have been very blessed. With Blessings I feel bears a responsibility to give back on every level. I try to do that daily. I feel like God has brought a fantastic opportunity into my life to grow me and to help me to make a difference in another part of the world. I’m trying to trust Gods will for me and where he wants me to be. I would love to share just a little part of an exciting adventure I am going to be involved in with you. The group is called Adventures in Missions and they are based out of Gainesville, GA. My brother told me about this opportunity, he had a friend that participated and it was a life changing experience for her. I have applied and been accepted to the World Race. You can look it up at www.worldrace.org, Jan 2010 trip. The world race is a trip that spans over 11 months and travels into 11 countries. Some of those include New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, and Ukraine…etc. We plan to leave on Jan. 1, 2010.
My greatest desire in all of this is to be a vessel for God to use. However he sees fit, I know he will bless me and my team for being willing to go and share his message and love to those in need. This has been a passion of mine since I was a young girl, life has taken me down different roads and brought me back to this one for a reason and a purpose at this time in my life, I truly believe that!
I believe God is calling me to this specific trip, and that is where you can help. I trust that he will meet my needs. My prayer is that you will want to join with me prayerfully and financially to go where God is leading this team. As Christians, I believe we are all called to fulfill the Great Commission of taking the Good News of Jesus Christ to the world. Some of us pray, some of us give, and some of us go to fulfill this calling. In this trip I would be the one able to go and ask that you be a part of this trip in whatever way possible that you feel God is leading you to do. I would like to ask that you pray for all the members of this team, that we would be a positive influence on the people of the countries we visit. Also, please pray that I might grow in my relationship with God and gain a broader view of the world we live in. If you are interested in supporting my trip financially, I will need to raise a total of $13,800 for the year I will be gone. This money will go directly to AIM. This will cover transportation, lodging and most meals, most of all my expenses while in the field. Your gift to spreading the gospel is tax deductible. Any amount that you feel like God is leading you to give would be beneficial to me raising the money to go. I do have to have $1000 in my account by Oct. 16th to participate in the 10 day training in Gainesville, GA that begins on that date.
I have enclosed a response card and a pre-addressed envelope, which invites you to share in this ministry. Please make checks payable to Adventures in Missions. Including the enclosed card will provide AIM with all the necessary information. In turn, they will send you a receipt. They request that you send all donations by November 30th. Adventures in Missions is registered with the IRS as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Donors will receive receipts for their gifts with the understanding that the disbursement of those gifts lies completely at the discretion of Adventures in Missions and that the gifts are non-refundable and non-transferable, per IRS regulations. Gifts may be tax deductible, please consult a tax advisor.
I am really excited about how God is going to use me and grow me thru this experience. I hope not only to be a blessing to those I serve but to you as well. My desire is go on behalf of all of us as believers of Jesus Christ. I hope you will prayerfully consider being a part of my passion for Christ and my ministry.
