Girl´s Night in Costa Rica. This is a pretty amature video… but I thought some of you would enjoy it.
By the way. God is good, all the time, and all the time, God is good. We said ¨Adios¨ to our family in Belin, Costa Rica this morning. There were lots of tears, hugs, and smiles… AND PRESENTS. I dont know how to explain to you guys how much the love and generosity of this community touched our hearts. Remember Fran´s family (my last post). The little girl came running up to give me a precious little hand made purse. I have no doubt that it came right out of her closet, that she gave me HER purse. Another family gave us all Costa Rica jewlery to remember them by. The list goes on. But the most amazing gift of all… the Lord multiplied money.
Last night Eric and I were reviewing the team budget, it was looking pretty slim. Team Agapetos has decided to give a team tithe each place we go, thus appearing to make a tight budget even tighter. For a brief moment we considered if we could afford to tithe this month. But we all feel strongly that we are called to give back to the Lord and we trust him to provide all of our needs. Thus, the tithe comes out first, not last. The Lord has been moving here in Belin and this community has blessed us so much. We wanted to bless them. And we did in fact give a tithe to the church here. Last night at dinner Eric said, ¨Lord could you multiply our money¨.
HE DID!!!
This morning… the congregation took up an offering FOR US!!! They tithed to us… I cant explain this with mere words, we all sat mouths dropped to the floor, tears in our eyes. In fact, they tithed more back to us than we first tithed to them. It was beautiful. The Lord provides!!!
We are leaving Costa Rica in the morning. We will spend a few days in Nicaragua for team debrief and then off to Peru. Please be praying for our travels and for our ministry in Peru. I miss you all, thank you for your love, prayers and financial support. A big praise God as well, thanks to all of you, I have reached my minimum support goal (the minimum amount I need to be on the Word Race). I could not be here without each one of you!!!
