“Really God, 11 countries in 11 months, are you kidding?… His answer was loud and clear. “Kelly, I am not kidding. You are going and I will be with you!”
On December 31st 2006 I will embark on an adventure to fulfill the Great Commission, “therefore go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). I will be going on a mission trip called The World Race, sharing Christ with the people of the world, as they share their world with me. This is an 11 month mission trip sponsored by Adventures in Missions (AIM). Several months ago God put this question on my heart, “For What?” What were my seminars about, what was I teaching people, what was my life about? I thought of all of my training, my gifts of leadership, speaking, and personal development. What were they all for? God put it on my heart to dream bigger than I had before, to step way beyond what was comfortable, and then He led me to The World Race.
I will spend the next year with a team of young adults who have the same calling for making a massive radical difference in the world. We will backpack across the world to places like Mexico, Argentina, Nicaragua, India, Peru, South Africa, Uganda, Kenya, and China. Our quest, to follow Christ, to live as Christ lived, abandoning all, to make disciples across the nations. We will establish churches, hold orphans, minister to the poor, the sick and dying. We will live among the people that we serve. Christ said, “Inasmuch as ye have done unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done unto me” (Matthew 25:40).
I have no doubt that God will use me this year, I know that He will change me. I am asking YOU to be used as well, to be radically changed. There are several ways you can join my team and be a part of The World Race with me.

Please take time to check in on me and to post comments, send me pictures from home, send your love and prayers.
2) Prayers – Please keep me in your prayers. Many of you are prayer warriors and have the gift of intercession. If that is you, please commit to scheduling one day per week to set aside time to pray for me in 2007. Pray for my team, for the people we have met, and the divine appointments still in front of us. (please let me know what day you have scheduled)
3) Financial Support – I do need your help, it can be $5 or $5,000. Myself, and each of my team members, must raise a minimum of $13,000 prior to leaving on Dec 31st to cover basic expenses such as travel, food and housing.

Many of you are Christians and share my mission to follow in Christ’s footsteps. Please prayerfully consider your role in the Kingdom and how God is calling you to join this World Race with me by offering your encouragement, prayers or financial support.
Some of you may not share my belief in Christ, but you do believe in me, and share my desire to make a difference in this world! Those of us participating in The World Race will be a voice for so many who have no voice. Please carefully consider joining my team, add your voice, in whatever way you are willing and able.
