on Tuesday and heading south for Nicaragua!! We are pretty excited,
but at the same time it is sad to leave. I have really enjoyed our
time here,
and getting to know the people in Puerto Barrios.

at the local market. We were helping families in need, and my friend
Scott and I got to help an elderly couple by putting charcoal into
small bags that they could later sell. I must say that this is a task
I never thought I would encounter on the World Race. Needless to say,
it was a good time and we used the charcoal as war paint. We have also
been continuing to visit the orphanage and do other random tasks around
Puerto Barrios. Our missions this month have been rather sporadic, but
it has been amazing to be able to help so many people.
whole new level. Our mission was to help a small community in building
their church, however a mountain was in the way. We were literally
told to, “move the mountain.” I have now developed my skills in using
a pick axe. I have requested one for Christmas from my parents.
Please send good vibes towards our squad. On Team NEON alone, we have
a case of Typhoid, Dengue, and two intestinal infections. Boo! I was
blessed with one of the intestinal infections, so I got to experience
modern medicine in a third world country. They took my temperature in
my arm pit! A big amen that this passed quickly, and I am now feeling
better.
to visit Tikal. For all you non-history nerds, Tikal is basically the
capital of the Mayan world. We got to see many temples and ruins – it
was incredible!

video that Kelly K-Ramp posted on her blog!! Pretty awesome hosting
