Hey Everyone!
So I just wanted to post a quick blog to let everyone know that I am leaving for the World Race TOMORROW!!! Crazy huh? I can’t actually believe it myself. After months and months of preparation, the time has finally come. My ginormous bag has been packed. If you were wondering, it is about the same size as me. I am going to be super buff when I return from this adventure…
So… just to fill you in on the details, I am leaving Nashville at 5:41 PM tomorrow and flying to meet my team in Boston. I get into Boston at midnight, and then we leave for Guatemala at 7AM Sunday morning. Please keep me and my team in your prayers as we begin our trip! I am so excited to go to Guatemala, because it is the only place on our route where I have been before. I went on my first mission trip ever to Guatemala when I was in 7th grade, and I really believe that was when the Lord began to give me a heart for missions. And I remember vowing to myself that I would go back someday. But I don’t think I ever could have imagined the way I would be returning. Just goes to show that God’s plans are SOOO much greater than my own!
And as for me- I am so excited about this trip and I can’t wait to meet up with my awesome team NEON! But my nerves are definitely at an all time high at the moment, so please pray that I would have peace as I leave my friends and family tomorrow. I know it is going to be hard.
Ok- now for one more important detail- don’t quit reading yet! Many of you have been asking if you can send me mail, and the answer is YES! At the end of every month, we have debreifs, and staff from the US fly to meet us. So… you can send cards to the office in Georgia, and they will bring them to me at debrief. BUT…. for those of you who are planning on writing me every single day and sending me lots of big care packages, I’m afraid I have some bad news. I have been strictly instructed to tell you, that you can ONLY send cards! (and preferably not multiple cards because remember the staff have to put this stuff in their suitcases!) But I would love to get some mail at debrief. So… with that said, send cards to…
