This adventure is going to be unlike anything I have ever experienced…while I do have many expectations; I truly want to go into it expecting the unexpected…

Here are some of my “unexpected expectations

  • I expect to fall deeper in love with Jesus and to grow more abundantly in my knowledge of His character.
  • I expect to love the children of this world.
  • I expect to be broken.
  • I expect to try food that I never would have thought of eating.
  • I expect to grow in my flexibility and patience.
  • I expect to miss my family, friends and dogs back home.
  • I expect to come home with a new family in Christ.
  • I expect to fall in love with the people in each country I go to.
  • I expect to question.
  • I expect to see the Glory of God in powerful ways.
  • I expect this to be the hardest thing I’ve done thus far.
  • I expect to be perpetually smelly and dirty…
  • I expect to create awareness of issues happening in the world.
  • I expect to learn to say “Jesus loves youâ€ in 11 languages.
  • I expect to change.
  • I expect to have my stereotypes broken.
  • I expect to learn (and grow to love) to live with less.
  • I expect to weep.
  • I expect to do things I never thought possible in the name of Jesus.
  • I expect the unexpected.
