1) I was born to two wonderful parents, Ron and Sue, and I have a wonderful older sister, Allyson, who is 31. Here we are at my graduation from college.

2) I was born and raised in beautiful Chattanooga, TN. I moved to NC in the middle of High School, which was not easy, but turned out to be the best thing for me.

3) I went to Appalachian State to major in Speech Therapy. I minored in Spanish and kept many of my text books; I knew I would need Spanish again!

4) I work as a Speech therapist for adults and I work mostly with the elderly. I love it and there’s never a dull moment. 🙂

5) I can’t cook. No… really. I’m hopeless.

6) My new favorite website is Operation World. You can sign up to receive prayer concerns about different country each day. The goal is to pray for all nations! You can check it out here: www.operationworld.org.

7) One of my favorite places to be is my church, Elevation Church.  I have been attending for 3 and ½ years and God is moving in amazing ways. It truly exists “so that people far from God can be raised to life in Christ” (our mission statement.) Currently, I volunteer on the prayer team. God has recently been teaching me so much about the importance of prayer.

8) One of my favorite movies is: The Help. I love it not only because it has a great message, but because it I think the filmmakers did a great job capturing the visual beauty of the south.  I’m definitely a southern girl. 🙂

9) I am passionate about teaching teenagers about Christ. I co-lead a middle school girls’ Bible study and they are such smart, beautiful, and wonderful girls! Here they are buying gifts for a child they sponsored for Christmas last year.

10) I love to exercise. This includes lifting weights, running on the elliptical, and Zumba. I also use an exercise video for Pure Barre, which is basically Pilates on steroids.

Any last words???

Last book I read: Boundaries.  I wish I had read this 10 years ago!

Last indulgence: I recently ate an entire roll of cookie dough… in less than 24 hours.

Last time I cried: Several weeks ago watching a documentary about WWII.  So many sacrifices have been made for freedom.  I love our soldiers!

Last moment of bliss: Last night, thinking about all the beautiful places and beautiful people we will encounter on the World Race.
