Okay, so if you haven't yet noticed, I don't really like to write but feel that it is necessary to add a blog every now and then.  So last week, my team traveled to Sofia, Bulgaria to ministrer in gypsy communities.  It was a difficult experience for me because as a woman I was very limited to what I was able to do.  Granted, I grew up in a church that limited a woman's opportunity to do ministry, but not quite in this capacity.  We had a specific dress code, we were not allowed to preach, and when we prayed over people we were not allowed to touch men below the shoulder, and a lot of men did not want to be touched at all by women.  We also had to sit on a different side of the church than our men…"brothers on the left, sisters on the right."  yes, I am a little bit of a feminist.  Our guys did an amazing job bringing God's word.  It was kind of nice to be able to sit back and pray for and encourage them as they prepared their messages.

The food situation was interesting.  We seriously had the same meal for luch and dinner every day.  It involved "sausage" patties that may or may not have been horse meat.  Then, there is the tripe soup.  Please enjoy the video.

All in all, it was a good week.  I had some really sweet, intimate time with God and good fellowship with my team.
