I got home from squad leading at the end of May, went to a friend’s wedding, hung out in the Midwest and then moved to…

Gainesville, GA!

I am working for Adventures in Missions as the Director of Adventures Dream Launch. Our team gets to help alumni World Racers move forward with their God-given dreams primarily through matching participants with coaches and providing an opportunity for them to win a grant.

Was I excited to move to the south? To a city of 34,000? To a climate with weather in the high 80s and ravishing humidity? No. Not really.

But do I love it? Yep.

It’s been such a blessing to be here. Gainesville is built around Lake Lanier, which is a popular place to kayak, swim and boat. There are great running and bike trails. I love the rolling hills and driving on the curvy mountain highways. Fireflies light up the night sky and thunderstorms roll in often. It truly is beautiful.

When I was a senior in college and getting ready to apply for the Race, I started to declare that “life is great and just keeps getting better.”

And that’s been true of the past few years. Life with Jesus and intimacy with Him is so full. As we move forward in relationship, whether it be with Jesus or a friend, spouse, parent, the satisfaction and enjoyment that comes with greater intimacy is an undeserved but fulfilling gift.

I am truly a daughter of Grace, having been given so much purely because my Father loves to bless and entrust me with the things so close to His heart.
