NICARAGUA

This month we have been living in Jinotepe, Nicaragua at La Iglesia Nueva Vida (New Life Church). This is the courtyard of our home.

Our neighbor Nancy threw her daughter a Dora birthday party. Needless to say I didn't break the piñata.

MARIO

We met Mario at the nursing home in Jinotepe. He is completely lucid but has trouble getting around. He used to be a lawyer and wants to return to the profession. When we first started talking with him he was standoffish and seemed skeptical. We started talking about Jesus and the Holy Spirit, and he had a lot of questions. We were able to answer them and also rebuke lies that he had been believing about himself. It was hard for him to see that he is worthy of love and worthy of the Holy Spirit. By the end of our conversation, his demeanor completely changed. We prayed for him, and he told us how happy he was; how thankful that we came to visit. Today we returned to give him this picture and notes that we each wrote. He cried as he read them. It was hard to leave. Pray that Mario would always be sure of the Father's love for him.

I pray that you would also know the Father's love for you.
