As she sat on my lap, my first thought was “God, please dont let me get lice.” but she was so happy that i could not help but play with her and cheer on the basketball game with her. then she turned around and touched my cross necklace and simply said “Jesus.” and from that moment i did not care about lice. I asked her if she knew what Jesus did on the cross and she said yes, he died. and i told her she was right, Jesus died for her because he loved her so much. She told me she was a “princessa” and I told her she was absolutely a princessa because her Daddy was the king of kings and thought she was the most beautiful girl in the world. my heart was so touched by this short exchange. In the midst of my own selfish thought and worries, a little girl touched my heart, and I can only pray she continues to believe that she is a “princessa” of the King with her whole heart for the rest of her life.
We had a womens day on Friday where we washed their feet and massaged them with lotion and painted their toenails all in hopes that they would know how beautiful they truly are and how beautiful they are to their heavenly father. about 50 women showed up and they were so reluctant to allow us to touch their feet because they were ashamed, but they began to allow us to do this and we could see how much it really meant to them. We danced with them and talked to them and shared with them how beautiful God thinks they are. There were women that came that we knew were not Christians, but were very attentive while we were talking and worshiping with them. We are praying that there were seeds planted during this time that God will continue to cultivate.
We desire as a team to breathe beauty into women around the world. God is already working in us and through us and is opening doors as soon as He gives us vision and we act upon that. We have been fighting spiritual warfare amongst our team and in this place, and God is bringing us victory, but satan is trying so hard to discourage us and literally put up roadblocks for us, but we firmly believe that God is going to have the victory in this place. Our time here is coming to an end and we are moving on very soon to Malaysia, but our prayers are that there will be many others to come alongside this ministry and bring life and the love of God to these wonderful people. We have experienced the presence of God in our team worship times so strongly, and it is our desire that the worship in this congregation will become one that drives away all presence of evil. please pray for these people and the ministry of Pastor Al in this place and that all forces of evil will driven out and a true spirit of worship will descend here like never before.
