There's a child….an elderly man or woman…a teenager….out there waiting…yes waiting for a hug, not just any hug but a hug from the Lord. A few days ago I had the privilege of meeting an awesome young woman of God. She is 21 years, born and raised in El Salvador, and she was part of a group that we did ministry with. This young woman came and spent a few nights with our team so that she could translate during ministry. One night before she went to be she wanted to talk with me. As we began to talk she poured her heart out. It was wounded and broken as she has not seen her mother in years and has taken on a lot of responsibilities in her home. I felt the Lord gently telling me to hug her like a mother would and let her know it's not her fault that her mother left. She began crying as I told her how special she is and how much God loves her. I then asked her if I could hug her like a mother would and I told her to come sit on my lap and I held her like she was a little girl. She wept as I held her and prayed over her. When she got up she said I know that hug was from God I've only had one other hug like that in my life, I will never forget that hug their is now peace in my heart. I looked at her face and her whole countenance looked lighter. If God had me cross her path just so that He could hug her through me it was absoutely worth it…that hug set her free!
