The World Race is so cool because it is one long process. There are so many steps in this process and each one is designed to take racers to a new place of growth.

I am coming up on month 5 and am really excited to see all that is in store for me during my time in Bulgaria. I really enjoyed being in Albania last month and being with the whole squad, having daily opportunities to learn more about the Bible, and working hard to make improvements to the summer camp we were staying at. It was a really enjoyable month that was very well organized. I was blessed with great living conditions- hot showers, drinkable water, and comfortable beds. It was also surrounded by mountains and beautiful farm land.

I had opportunities to visit really cool places on our off days and most recently was able to travel to Italy the last weekend we were there. Going to Italy was a dream come true and I had to keep reminding myself that I was not in a dream but that I was actually in Italy. Last month was my favorite month so far and was an amazing step in my process on the World Race.

The transition to month 5 happened really quickly. I got back to Albania from Italy around 11am Monday morning after taking an overnight ferry back from Italy. I had 9 hours back at our ministry site to pack and say my goodbyes before our bus took off on a 13 hour overnight journey to Bulgaria. The bus ride was long, uncomfortable, and not very easy to sleep on. We crossed the boarders of Kosovo and Macedonia to finally reach Sofia, Bulgaria Tuesday morning. I traveled through five countries in three days and I was so happy to finally reach our destination.

The same day I arrived in Bulgaria I had a meeting with our squad leaders because they are calling me into a new season and allowing me to take another step in my process on the World Race and become a team leader. I feel very honored and humbled to be chosen for this roll during this next part of the race. With this new position comes new responsibilities and challenges. I am going to be fully depending on God to guide me as I walk into this new season. I have a new team with new personalities and a new dynamic. I can’t wait to see what is to come with a new position and a new team. I am also a little sad that my old team GPS is no longer together but I am ready to jump in full force to a new team and a new month!
