I’m so pumped right now. I feel like I am ready for war because God has equipped me to fight, fight to the death to defeat Satan.
Tonight my squad had an amazing night of worship. We had an overflow of God’s love poured out on us, there are really no words to explain the emotions that flowed through the room but if I were to try I would use words like: love, joy, truth, blessing, comfort… it was refreshing and beautiful. I cried, laughed, danced, used up all my Kleenexes and stood on a chair and proclaimed truth over my life. This wasn’t just an “experience” it really is a lifestyle that I am beginning to adopt for myself. So God is good and I am so thankful that He comes to meet me when I worship Him- even when I am on the other side of the world.
So a little breakdown of what I have been doing this month in Albania… we are working with a ministry called Light Force. It is a summer camp for kids who need Jesus. Some of the kids come from a rough background and have behavior issues or come from low income households. My squad and I are working to make improvements to the camp before the summer months when the campers will come. So far I have done a variety of tasks including moving rocks and wood, painting a fence, shoveling pig poop, doing various farm related chores, organizing a tool shed etc. So I am working extremely hard and at the end of each day I am physically worn-out. This kind of hard work can make it difficult to always keep a positive attitude. Even though it is difficult I think my squad is doing an awesome job of being encouraging to one another. And I really have been blessed by this ministry even with all its challenges.
My squad was under the impression that we would be sleeping in tents this month. We were told at the end of Guatemala that we would be together as a squad and be tenting, God is working with me this month to trust Him in every situation so I am doing my best to do so. I had processed the fact that we were tenting and was ok with it as we arrived in Albania. After three days of traveling, 4 flights, 15 or more hours of air time, and a 7 hour time difference we finally arrived at our contacts house in Albania around midnight Albania time. We had a hot dinner waiting for us on the table and were told that we all had beds to sleep in and hot showers available all month long. WOOOHOOOOO!!! Haha God is good, no tents for us this month. I am incredibly blessed here with the living arrangements and I get to soak up the beautiful view of the mountains from the balcony every morning.

So our ministry does not have us in much contact with the people of the country directly. This is much different from what I have become used to, we stay on the property all day long and our days are jam packed in a way that does not allow for much time to walk to town for internet. This is a blessing in a way because it allows me to disconnect more from my “normal life” and be more present with where I am at right now. We are also doing a Bible study of Proverbs and Matthew this month one in the morning and one at night, this takes up about 3 hours of our day so I have the opportunity to gain wisdom from the Bible and from the wise people I am surrounded by.
God is using my squad this month to prepare a summer camp for the thousands of kids who will come through this property this summer and they will have the opportunity to learn about Jesus. God is going to bless our efforts and hard work and make this summer a life changing summer for so many kids in Albania.
