Hello Everyone!
So I have been doing quite a bit of preparing for this amazing journey I will be taking in January. I am currently setting up a few fundraisers at local restaurants (more details to come) and am getting things organized for a consignment sale next week. I also received all of my vaccinations last week, which was a slightly painful experience, but better than getting sick on the other side of the world!
I am praying daily for this trip, for God to help me in my preparations, and praying for those in the Countries we will be going to. I am also praying for God to help me meet the fundraising deadlines, the first of which is coming up on October 1st. I am in need of raising $3500 by the first and I am currently pretty far from meeting this deadline. I hope that those who feel the Lord leading them to support me will! I am completely at the mercy of the Lord to raise this money and I truly feel that God wants me to go on this Missions Trip so He will provide.
I am reminded of Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.” This verse is the way I want to live my life. I want to always trust in the Lord to guide my footsteps and go in the direction He would have me go. A couple years ago I got this verse tattooed on my foot for several reasons, I wanted to be constantly reminded of who I am living my life for and when life get chaotic and difficult to know that I am not the one in charge, but God is! It is a relief knowing that there is someone as powerful as God looking after me and taking care of me!
Finally, I want to say thank you to everyone who is supporting me emotionally and financially. This is a big step of faith to go on this long term Missions Trip and raise $15,500 but with God’s help it will happen!
