other people. Because of community, I have five other people knowing my every move
and all of my business. Because of community, I’m remembering what it’s like to
really live with people 24/7 like I did with my first Kenya team. Because of community, I’m discovering more of my own selfishness and am being refined in
new ways. Because of community, I have to prefer others and put their needs and
desires above my own. Because of community, I know these people a whole lot better
than I did before. Because of community, I am learning a lot more about God’s love
through them and how to best love them with the love I receive every single
day. Because of community, I know we are committed to each other during the good,
the bad, and the ugly because we are held together by Someone and Something so much bigger than just us. Because of community, I realize that we can bring God’s Kingdom to this earth better
together than we can apart. Because of community, just being with them, I am
becoming more like Christ because of who they are and the way they live. Because of community, I have forgotten what it’s like to be apart from them. I am experiencing again what it’s like to live in community and wonder how I ever
functioned without it…

the privilege of banding together around the person and example of Jesus Christ
and the cause of the Kingdom.”
Thank you, Jesus, for this group of people (my team) that I
get to live in (or do) community with. Thank you that I don’t have to do this thing
alone, and for pairing me with people who love you like I do. They frustrate me at times, but there is no one I would rather do this
with. I love them with all my heart. Thank you for them.
