It is 4:35am in India.

It’s already warm outside. I’m covered in a thin layer of dew- not sweat- from sleeping outside in a hammock. I am looking at a gorgeous sunrise over brilliant green fields of rice. And, yet, I am already mad at the world.

You see, I was awakened by a loud song blasting over a loud speaker. It sounds like a chant. All I want to do is go back to bed. I want to sleep for the hour and twenty-five minutes I have left, but the sound keeps blaring. I can’t even ask the owner of the music to turn it off because it isn’t coming from anyone I know.

The loud noise is the Call to Prayer that wakes me up EVERYDAY at sunrise. As annoying as it was each morning, I came to realize how beautiful the Call to Prayer is.

All over the world, Islamists gather and pray for the same purpose at the same time. It got me wondering why Christians don’t do the same. Why doesn’t our global community join together to call on our God for something each day? How powerful would that be?

I know why we don’t. God doesn’t require us to pray 5 times a day. He wants us to pray because we WANT to speak to Him instead of out of obligation. But that doesn’t mean the entire church body can’t gather to pray for the same thing at the same time.

And that’s what I want us to do.

On November 25th, I am going to pray during the Call to Prayer for the salvation of the Islamic people around the world. I want them to know Jesus just as I do. I want to ask God to soften their hearts, open their eyes, and move in their hearts so that they may come to know Him.

I want to ask each one of you to pray at sunrise in your home town at the same time too. I want to ask the church to gather and pray in unity all across the globe.

We are a world in need of prayer. What would happen if all of us joined in prayer together? Can you just imagine? So, what do you say, are you in?

The call to prayer happens 2 hrs before dawn, at dawn, at 1pm, at sunset, and at 8pm. Please pick one time to pray to join the Call to Prayer.
