I am continually amazed by God’s provisions for my trip. He has already provided 75% of my funds for the trip and I have no doubt that he will provide the last 25% of the funds. God has moved in people’s hearts to donate to this trip and I am so grateful for each of these people.
I expected to get used to seeing God move and provide for this trip, but it never does. Each donation that roles in is just as exciting as the first and is every bit as reassuring that God has called me to this trip as the one before it. I am so blessed to have my supporters and am honored that God is revealing himself to me through your generosity.
But what is more astounding to me is all the many ways God is providing for me. Yes, he is moving in people to donate toward this trip, but he is doing so much more than that!
- God has provided my gear through the generosity of my family. They have helped me gear up for this journey beyond what I ever expected. There continual support has made this process much easier for me than it is for others and I am so grateful for this.
- God has provided me with a second job to help me save up for the trip. I was offered a position as a babysitter twice a week. This particular job requires me to work exactly when I don’t have classes or work my other job. This is more than a coincidence and I am so happy to have the opportunity as another way to fund the trip.
- God has given me a Squad that is absolutely amazing and that I have had the opportunity to bond with. This is such a blessing in my life and I can’t even really explain how much this means to me. I can see God working in all of us to provide the best possible squad and to bring us into community with one another.
- God is constantly working in my life to prepare me for this trip emotionally, spiritually, and physically. I like to think I am ready to leave right now, but I am not. God is still working in me and he will have me ready for launch on June 28th and not a day before. He has not stopped preparing my heart and my mind and readying me for this trip.
- God has given me a mentor that is wonderful and encouraging. She is helping me prepare for this trip and I am so grateful for all of her support and encouragement. Right now we are working are talking about leadership and I recently have had the opportunity to put this into practice at work and school. This is yet another provision from God.
- God has given me babysitting and dog sitting jobs on a regular basis. The money I earn in these jobs goes toward the World Race. Some of it gets saved up for expenses on the trip and some of it goes directly into my support account. Either way, these are gifts from God that have been given to provide for this trip.
- He has placed me in a group of young adults who have been more than supportive of this trip. They are supportive and kind, and I am so glad that I get to develop friendships with them as I prepare for this trip. Having supportive friends who are walking a Christian life has been something I lack and God has not waited till I meet my squad to give them to me.
- God has provided me the best small group I could ever imagine being in. Shout out to the Scotts, Greens, Clausens, Adams, Buckleys, & Laura!!! I joined because I wanted to participate in the church wide study, but I did not expect to feel comfortable, welcome, and a part of this group the way that I do. It is nice to have people supporting me, encouraging me, building me up, and growing along side me. The wisdom that I gain from the discussion we have are already making a profound difference in my life and I could not be more grateful for this group.
God is providing for me in every area of my life. He is readying me for this trip. When I first began this process I thought that his provisions meant donations and financial support. I had limited Gods ability to provide. He is providing for me in every aspect of my life, He is providing for me in more ways than just financial, and I am so glad to have Him as my God and as my savoir. What more could I need when I have Him?!
