As I promised on Monday, here is another analogy on Free Will.
Like I said, I believe in Free Will. I believe that people have the option to chose whether or not they accept Christ. I also believe that we have control, through our choices, on what we do and what happens to us.
Here is an analogy to help explain free will.
When my brothers and I were little, my older brother LOVED red Kool Aid. Whenever it was his turn to pick he always picked the red kind.
My mother knew this, so before she even asked And what kind of Kool Aid he wanted, she made red Kool Aid and let it chill in the fridge. Then, when it was cool, she would lay out Kool Aid packets and ask Andy what color he wanted. And of course, he said Red.
You see, my mom always knew what Andy was going to pick but she always gave him the option. So, if he picked orange, she would make orange Kool Aid.
God always knows what we’re going to do because he is God, but he still gives us the choice. He doesn’t pick for us. This is him giving us free will even though he already knows what we’re going to do.
