So I’ve been having car problems since December of 2013 (So almost 5 months!)!
In the state of Illinois they require cars to pass an emissions test to make sure they’re not over polluting in order to renew your license plate. So in December I went to have this done. And my car was rejected – a rejection is not a failure. This means that the equipment could not read my emissions report.
So I did what they told me to do. Drive your car around a lot! This was something that I did NOT want to do because gas is super expensive. I also took it in to have codes run to determine what the problem was. But nothing came up.
The next step was to go back and get it tested again and the same thing happened.
So what do I do, first I take it to another place to run the codes. Then to a friend’s shop to see what the problem is and the answer is still NOTHING!! This meant that I had NO IDEA what on earth the problem was and at this point I am illegally driving an unregistered car.
Eventually, I got a ticket for this while I was driving it to another mechanic to get it fixed. And once again, the Mechanic had no problem reading the emissions (and they passed his readings) and couldn’t find a problem.
The only rational step was to try to get it tested one more time. So I drove 45 minutes up to the place and got it tested. At first it did not read the sensors, but I begged the guy to try one more time and he did. This time it passed!!!
As of today I am legally driving my car in the state of Illinois, but I noticed something while I was drive. . . The temperature gauge (the gauge that measures the engines heat) was working. I got my car in December of 2012 and this gauge never worked. BUT NOBODY FIXED IT!!!
So the only reasonable conclusion I can make is that God fixed my car! and I am really grateful he took care of me in this way.
