We are partnering with the COOLEST contacts with the sweetest names, Solomon and Lilly Carter. They have a beautiful little girl named Sufficient Grace or Suffi-G.
We are living in their house; it is a beautiful home for African standards. They have comfortable couches, an oriental rug, and three bedrooms…that’s if you want to consider me and Erica’s room a bedroom. If you blink you might miss our room, you literally can’t open the door all the way because the bed is in the way and if I lift my head too high I will bump it on the bottom of her bunk (happens almost every night). We have a wonderful squatty potty, kerosene lamps to eat dinner around, and a bucket bathing area that is constructed out of tarps where people can easily see your head popping out when you are standing inside of it.
We have been doing a mixture of ministries here. Some days we teach, we do door to door evangelism, hospital visits, crusades, lead Bible studies, play/watch soccer. We have enough stuff to do that I will not get bored.
God has really been revealing how evil the devil is this month. We prayed for rooms full of infants and children to be healed, those who do not even know right and wrong. We have prayed for babies born with AIDS, people who are intellectually disabled, those who are losing control of their limbs, people with diabetic feet. One little boy I will never forget. He had a tube coming out of his chest, you could see EVERY bone and rib in his body, and his hands were as cold as ice. This little boy is suffering from the result of sin entering this world. Oh how I HATE the devil!
BUT THERE IS HOPE!
Our God heals! God is moving, and though he may not heal every person he uses his power wisely and with a purpose. A woman who had been paralyzed in her arm was able to move her thumb that was tight to her palm. You should have seen her face! She couldn’t help but tell others about what happened! God hates to see us suffer, but he can and will show his power in this dark world. Who knows who else has been healed and we may never see the fruit of our labor, but we will not stop praying for the devil to leave people alone. We are intended to be with the Father in perfection, but until we leave this world we must fight against the evil forces of satan through prayer. The battle is not physical, it is completely spiritual.
Those of you who are still indulging in the easy yet temporary satisfaction of this world, satan is trapping you! You are stronger than your sinful desires, stop indulging or the only thing you have to look forward to is spending eternity with the one who has brought disease and suffering to this world. Following God is not easy and it does not get boring! How can you get bored seeing healings, experiencing His presence, hearing from him, and fighting for people’s lives? He is a loving Poppa just waiting for you to jump into His arms! Are you ready to take the leap and JUMP?!
