Our travels started at an early 3:45am by boarding a school bus from our launch location in little Mexico to the train station. I did not sleep Thursday night at all so the next days would include lots of little naps on different forms of transportation. Once arriving at the train station we boarded the train and rode it to the Atlanta airport. We were traveling with 4 teams from A-squad with the other half of A squad leaving GA later that morning.  At the airport we left at 9am for JFK airport. Once landed at JFK we knew that we would be staying there for a few hours but God decided that our plane would be delayed as well. This meant we were able to spend time with the other teams and just spend some quality time with everyone before being separated for the month. All four teams departed from JFK around 9pm to fly into Poland. Once we arrived in Poland we had another lay over until we departed for Germany. When we arrived in Germany we unloaded the plane outside and were greeted by a lady with a sign for our next flight because we were running behind. The lady was in a very big hurry and told us to run to our flight. Now we have 24 people with backpacks and some with instruments as well running through the airport to catch the next flight. The fun thing was we had to get on a bus and be taken to the airplane that was right next to the airplane we had just gotten off of. Oh how the Lord loves to make us laugh at knowing he is in control and we really have to give it all to him.  We boarded our last flight into Romania!!

Yay we made it to Romania at 11pm ish!!! However now we have to sit in the airport because we need to catch a train that doesn’t leave until 6am. So we decide to play some music and some people sleep while we wait for the train station to open up.  Our fearless finance people and team leaders go to buy train tickets for us to the main train station. Now for the rest of this blog you are really going to need to use your imagination.  We are told a blue van will take us to “the train.” My team and a couple from the other teams get inside this blue van and travel in the pitch black to an interesting location where the van just stops and the driver tells us to go go go and up the winding cement area we see some train tracks and that is it no station. Now let’s just remember how dark it is and how we have to now board a train just when it stops and like jump on it. Everyone already on the train was sleeping in little box room areas. Jessica and myself ended up in a car with a gentlemen who evidently knew English and didn’t tell us until our 4 teams were about to get off at the wrong stop and then he graciously told us we needed to wait one more stop. What a blessing we were not lost in the dark! We arrived at the train station and bought train tickets to Targu-Mures we had 10mins to find our next train and board. We boarded the train and took about a 3 hr. ride to another train station. We boarded our last train for 8hrs.

Even though travel was interesting there were many blessings in it. The about 60hrs of travel has brought us to an amazing house where we all have our own beds! Which we slept in for 16 hours straight. More to come about our ministry in the next couple of days!
