Thailand has been such an amazing month! We have been working with a great family and they made this month so special. Spending the holidays away from friends and family is never easy. But this year we got to spend them with our new family and friends. Christmas was a great time for us to come together as teammates, friends, and family. I am so grateful for the family I have in my team.

This past month we have done many things. We got to work on the business end and help cut the fabric that the women in the workshop will use to make the bags they sell. We got to do practical jobs.  My favorite was working in the huts. I got to use the staple gun to put up plastic on the roof to keep the dirt from falling on the beds. Other jobs we did were cutting grass, weed eating, gardening, working in the swamp, and any other odd jobs outside. We also got to do bar ministry. That was the hardest part. Going to the bars and seeing the women have to work there. I really wanted to help them all. They deserve a better life than that. And that is what SHE is trying to do. I am so grateful to be able to help in all 3 ways. I know that this month was a hard and challenging month. But I would not trade it for anything.

Thailand has taught me how to be more of a servant. Every little job we do helps in a big way even if we don’t see it at that moment. We were planting the seeds for others to come and water. We got to see some fruits of our labor outside and in the shop. We may never see the fruits of our labor at the bars, but that is ok. We got to pave the way for someone else to see what we started. I can never be the same after this month. God has taught me way too much for me to go back to who I used to be. I can’t even express how thankful I am for being able to work in Thailand. God is doing amazing things there.
