I was all prepared today to write a blog about how I am so content with where I am on the Race. Which is still so true. But God has given me a great opportunity that I am so excited to take. We are going to a safari tomorrow for the weekend where we get to ride elephants. I am so excited to go! I was not able to go at first though.
I came on the Race with little personal money to spend. I knew that would mean at times I would have to stay back from the fun activities. And that has happened a few times. I don’t regret any of it though. I have gotten to a place where I am just glad to be on the Race. I would give up all of the fun excursions just to be able to be here. I am so thankful for what God has provided for me. In that I was sad that I was going to miss riding on elephants, but it was worth it just being here in Nepal. I had a fun weekend planned of cheap things to do to keep busy while most of the team is gone on the safari. Then a great opportunity came up and I had to take it, (after thinking through all of my budget for 30 min). Jeff was going to go but then wasn’t able to because he has to go to Kathmandu early. So instead of the trip going to waste he offered for me to go in his place and I just had to pay half of it. That half was in my budget for the month! I was so ready to stay back and I was fine with that, but I can’t help but get excited to go. I am so thankful for the opportunity God has given me.
