How is it that in just a matter of 2 weeks I am so attached to all the kids here? They don’t even try to steal our hearts. But somehow they manage to get into every crevice and take over. I love how they all find joy out of the simplest things.

I get the privilege to work in a room with 7 girls. They are all so sweet and just need to be loved. They have great Iyas who feed them, bathe them, and take care of them all day. I come to the apartment around 3 pm and leave around 6 pm. In the short time I get to spend with the girls they have taken over my heart. Three of my girls are very mobile, the other 4 can’t move very well. Most of my girls have cerebral palsy. It is amazing to work with the 3 who can move around. I take them outside every day and we play for awhile. One of the girls I am working on walking. She can stand and hold on to things, and move across a cabinet. When it comes to walking on her own she gets scared and will sit down. My goal is to have her walking by the end of the month. Another girl wont put weight on her left side. So I am working on getting her to use her left side more. The 3rd girl can walk, but she falls a lot. At first I would get worried, but now it is so normal it doesn’t phase me. She just gets right back up and keeps on going. Because of her cerebral palsy she is very wobbly and rocks a lot when she walks. She is so determined though to keep on going. She really hates to sit. I have set a goal for all of them to accomplish by the end of the month. They are all very smart and I know they can do it. I am so greatful to be with these amazing and beautiful girls. They have blessed me more than I could ever bless them. God knew exactly what he was doing when he put us here in India. I can not wait to see the girls grow and flourish as they learn.
