Currently I am working as a barista at Starbucks and as NEXTGEN leader on the weekend at my church (Children’s service for grades 2nd-3rd). I also am volunteering as a high school youth leader. The Lord has given me a sensitive heart for kids of all ages. They challenge me and refuel me. I have found my calling, ministry work!
I am 23 years old and through my whole life I have always had a roof over my head and food in my stomach. Things have definitely have not been easy though. I went through a lot of heartbreak, selfish times, and a lot more. We all do. It is all how we handle it and learn from these experiences.
On September 11,2016 I was baptized. On that day I also committed to going all in with God. Before that I allowed God in on my time and it was a complete mess. This past year I have kept that commitment and it has led to some testing. It was definitely was not easy. There were times when I got upset with God. I realized it’s okay to have feelings of all kind about God and question things as long as you keep pursuing Him for the answer. When I was upset with Him in confusion I never stopped talking/pursuing Him. I never gave up on Him because I was constantly reminded that He doesn’t give up on us and He gave a huge sacrifice for us.
Since the last year I believe God is also rewarding me for being obedient. Not in a way where I am going on a vacation all around the world, but in a way where I get to focus on my relationship with Him with no distractions for a whole year! 11 countries in 11 months in fact. While I get to do that He is blessing me with being able to serve in the communities and churches where they need help whether that is playing with orphans, fixing up buildings, ministering adults and children stuck in sextrafficing, helping out with the damage the hurricanes have caused, evangelising, and much more. I have never been so confident in what God has asked me to do. It’s not going to be easy. I will be living out of my backpack. But I am not afraid. God is right by my side and I can’t wait to see the beautiful people and world He has created!
In order to do all of this I need your support! My first deadline is October 17th. I need to have $3,703 by then in order to go on this Trip. I am still a ways away from that goal. My second deadline is in December and that will be $18,100. I launch for my trip on January 1st, 2018. Ways you can give:

Even though I do need the funds to go on this trip, I also need the support of prayer. Prayer is so powerful! I will be blogging prior to the trip and twice a week while I am on the trip. I will be talking about the struggles I face, praises, and of course the journey. Please subscribe to my blog and you can get alerts of when I post. I can’t do this without God and I can’t do it without your help. If you know anyone that would be interested in helping, please share my story and/or my contact information. Thank you for your time!
Your World Racer,
Kaylee Meline
