I think being away from home makes people appreciate what they have and who they have so much more. I love you, appreciate you, and respect you more than you know. Why? Because I don’t tell you enough… or even at all. I think we have a lot to learn from each other still in that way.
Being gone has made me realize how much you do for me. You provide me with so much and have been a huge blessing in my life. Especially my college years and being here on this trip.
Thank you for your support. The impact this journey is having on my life is one that could not have happened without coming on the World Race. I know it is a long time of being gone, a long time without having income, and a long time of only emails and the occasional skype call for communication. But, it has been an incredible journey… and is only the beginning of what is next for me. What that is… God only knows at this point… haha.
But, thank you! Thank you for allowing me to come… even though you thought I was crazy. Thank you for picking up the random costs of insurance and getting me this lovely, little computer so I can stay in touch. Thank you for the birthday email that meant the world to me. Thank you for popping in to say hi when I skype home. Thank you for putting money in my account so I can help my squad mates. Thank you for giving and giving to make it possible for me to be here.
I am so blessed to have you as a Dad.
I APPRECIATE you.
I MISS you.
I am THANKFUL for you.
I am PRAYING for you.
I am PROUD of you!
I LOVE you Dad!
Enjoy today with our wonderful family!
Happy Father’s Day!

PS… Watch out. I have African men thinking I am their soul mate.
Just for laughs… Here is an email I received this week:
“Are u planing to come back after the trip coz I have a dream that we should make this ralationship in another level as I told u am seaching for asoul mate and thank mighty that I fould you, ur out going ,kind and know mighty lord.”
Don’t worry Dad… I didn’t respond
