Baby Brother,
Today is a big day for you! Today is the day that you will walk across a stage, shake a few hands, smile big for pictures, and receive a certificate that took 18 years of your life to achieve. I would love more than anything to be there, cheering you on, because I cannot here are a few words for you.

You are truly wonderful
You brighten my world in more ways than you know.
These past 11 months, just a simple thought of you, has brought to me a special glow.

It has been an amazing pleasure to watch you grow
I remember the days that you slept in my room
Because we were both afraid of monsters, bad guys, and dads fro.

Now you are grown and sometimes I wish we could go back to those days
Days full of the Disney channel, front yard football, and Luby’s
Maybe we could leave out your temper tantrums though, lets face it, sometimes you did get a little moody.

As you can see life flies by fast.
So be the person that you want to be and stand up for what you believe.

Don’t think for a second that this is not a big deal.
You have worked hard, enjoy it, and always remember how it feels.

How it feels to be surrounded by your family and friends.
For your story has just begun, and I’m sure He will take you many different places before it ends.

And when you find yourself feeling alone, down, and unsure.
Remember to find your faith in Him, for He is your cure.

Don’t ever let your pride get in your way.
And remember to pray each and every day.

Be a giver instead of a taker
This is something that you will never regret
If your heart has an attitude of thanks giving, you will never have to fret.

Treat others the way that you want to be treated.
Take one day at a time
And know that your big sister looks forward to watching you shine!

I love you so much, Alex! I am so so so proud of you! Cannot wait to give my favorite graduate a big hug <3
