I am walking down a street with my teammates Ginny and Kim, glancing ahead and side to side, this street is full of lights, men and women, both young and old of all sizes and color. This street is full of people who have stories full of hurt, pain, misunderstandings, and lack of opportunity. This street is full of people who are looking for an answer, looking for a way out, looking for worth, looking for something to satisfy their needs and deepest longings. This is the same street that I was walking down earlier in the day. Only this time it was daylight outside, there were less people and I was with my teammate Allison. We had come purposefully to walk and pray. Pray that God would bring His love to this street, that He would bring His power, hope, Holy Spirit, conviction, grace, forgiveness, and mercy to this street. We prayed that God would open churches on this street. We asked that people would break free and not believe lies anymore, but that they would come to know and trust in His truth.

This month my team and I are working in bars with women who believe that their best chance at being successful and taking care of their families is by selling their bodies to others. We are working with a ministry that builds relationships with these women and through these relationships they are able to provide these women a way out. Please pray that God will move in and through us! That hearts will be prepared for the conversations that we will have. Pray for freedom and truth to invade the streets that we walk on. In the few days that I have been here I have seen God’s hope, Spirit, and strength move in mighty ways! I am so excited to watch Him continue to move in power and to be partnered with you in prayer for these women, men, and for their families!!
