On Thanksgiving day my team-mate, Angela, and I with two other squad-mates , Jessie and Cory left our home here in Dragonesti-Olt Romania for a nearby town, Slatina. We were with a local missionary family for four days..During these four days we traveled with John (the father) to different villages and encouraged believers, did children’s ministry, listened to many testimonies, shared our testimonies, visited a youth group, visited a church, and did some evangelism. Here are some pictures from our visit.

Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. James 1:27

This beautiful woman recently took in her granddaughter because her son murdered someone in their village and was put in prison. She barely has enough to take care of herself and is heartbroken because of what has happened in her son’s life. We sat in her one bedroom house (most of the homes here in Romania have one bedroom smaller than most in America and this is where everyone sleeps.. sometimes they have a separate room where they cook and sometimes they cook in their bedroom) and we read scripture and prayed together. There were tears and laughter; as well as thanksgiving and praises!

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3

This is a family that is really struggling. They have many sick family members and because they have to be taken care of , the healthy family members can't work either.

Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation. Psalm 68:5

Thankfully none of these children are orphans.. These kids live in a nearby village that we visited.

Please keep these families in your prayers. They really need our prayers, love, encouragement, and support! God IS doing things here in Romania! Lets keep bringing our brothers and sisters here to Him in prayer. Today we went around inviting people in nearby villages to our children's ministry. The village that I went to did not have one single believer living there. I know that God has BIG plans for the people here! Please keep praying for them!!! Love you all so much! I am so thankful and blessed by all of your love and support!
