What would you say if I said, “I am a creation that was created by my creator to enjoy His creation”?

Creation: The action or process of bringing something into existence: something showing artistic talent.

Fact: I am a creation

Creator: One that causes something to exist, one who brings into being; one that produces through artistic or imaginative effort

Fact: God is my Creator

Enjoy: to receive pleasure from; to take joy in; to have the benefit of

Fact: I was CREATED to ENJOY His CREATION

This has been a recent and really big realization for me! I have realized that often when talking to God I spend a lot of time apologizing for my shortcomings and promising to do better next time.

When listening to a sermon by a pastor back home I was reminded that God knew exactly what He was getting when He chose me. He knew and still knows all of my abilities, my skills, and all of my flaws; despite and including all of these things He still called me and He still loves me! So instead of constantly trying to improve (or fix) myself I need to surrender. I will be most useful to my Father when I come to a place of surrender and obedience (rather than remaining in a place of “I can be better. I promise. Just one more chance.”)

And not only are these things true but I am also learning that God created me to enjoy Him and to enjoy His creation (both people and the earth). How cool would it be to be God watching your creation enjoy itself. In a recent conversation with my mom she told me that some of her happiest moments in life have been when her children (Trey, Alex, Kendall, and myself) are all together and enjoying each other.

So the conclusion that I have come to is that God has created me to walk with Him in love and to enjoy it. When I wake up in the morning I’m going to give Him my day and I’m going to take it a step at a time. I am going to have fun, I am going to laugh, I’m going to love, I’m going to run, walk, skip, I’m going to encourage, I’m going to invest, I’m going to smile, I’m going to dance, I’m going to spend time with my Father, I’m going to be obedient and surrender, I’m going to listen, I’m going to speak, I’m going to share, I’m going to give, I’m going to learn, and at times I’m going to cry, but most of all I’m going to live, I’m going to enjoy, and I’m going to do all of these things to the Glory of my Father in Heaven!

So as you live today remember that you were created by a Father (by your Father) and you were created to love and to EnJoY Him and everything that He has made. Set your failures and shortcomings at the foot of the cross and jump into His arms. Trust me, He WILL catch you and you will be so glad that you did!!
