This month has been amazing!! God has been showing me so much about the power of relationships in ministry. Two things you should know about Albanians 1.) They love coffee 2.) They are awesome at relationship and community. This is my kind of place! My team and I are focused on the teenagers, or the kids in high school. Through out the week we visit their schools and pass out flyers, inviting them to meet with us and to go online to check out our ministries website. The kids come to our ministry site about 3 times a week and we usually have a speaker, some games, and some discussion topics for them, (this time is always followed by a cup of coffee at a local café). The “coffee” time is where the relationship really begins. This past week I have had coffee with about 10 different girls and have gotten to know their stories and their religious backgrounds. I LOVE the way this ministry runs. These kids know that this is a safe place to come and they know that their voice will be heard.
Earlier this week some of my teammates and I had coffee with two girls who come from a Muslim background. As they were telling us their story, my teammates and I were praying that God would move in their hearts and show them His love and that He would open them up to the idea of who He is. By the end of the coffee date we had two new sisters in Christ. It was such an awesome day and amazing thing to get to be a apart of. My teammates and I are thanking God that we have to opportunity to be here! This month has been such a beautiful reminder of how big God is and how important it is to be sensitive to His Spirit.
I know that this blog is a little random but I just want to end with saying that relationships are important to God. Look at the relationships in your life, in your family, in your ministry, and in your work place; and then ask God, how can I use this relationship to Honor You? Keep investing in people, keep loving people, keep pressing into God, keep praying, keep giving life all that you have and be sensitive to the Spirit! God is good!!!! Love you guys
