Wow.. To think that one month has already passed by is CrAzY!! God has been keeping my team and I so busy our first month on the mission field. We have traveled several times back and forth to different towns to help minister with whatever our ministry contacts need.  On Thursday we took a two hour bus ride back to Tanguarine, this is the place that we did vacation bible school our first week here, but this time we went to use our hands and feet and to get dirty!! When we went to Tanguarine a few weeks ago we stayed in a little house that they have bought just for missionaries who come to help and we were actually the first to get to stay there. It is such a beautiful and encouraging thing to see how much they believe that God is going to continue to send them help, so much that they bought a house specifically for missionaries. The house needed a lot of improvement so we went back to help paint, move many rocks from the inside to the outside, shovel dirt, put beds together, and all other sorts of things. I so enjoyed doing this type of work because we got to see the fruits or our labor, it was hard work, but so rewarding to see the looks on their faces as the house was coming together. As we were painting the outside we got to see some of our kids from VBS, who were walking around the neighborhood, which was really cool!

Before we started.. we are so gangsta

A few things that I learned to be thankful for this month…

The fact that we have a God who cares, who sees us, and who answers our prayers.
Sermons that I can download onto my ipod and listen to on long bus rides.
Skype so that I can talk to my family and friends back home.
My team, who loves me all of the time.
I am so thankful that believers take care of each other, that we really are family, and that I can come to Ecuador and stay with a family that I have never met before and be completely safe and comfortable and fall in love with them in a matter of weeks.

My squad will be leaving Ecuador on Monday and we are headed to Peru. My team has two 18 hour bus rides and we have been told that our area is a very poor area. This will be a change of pace for my team because we have been in the biggest city of Ecuador. I am sooooooo excited and I cannot wait to see all that God has planned for us! Please keep us in your prayers for safety and for God’s will to be done.. I am so thankful for you and I love you all so much .. really.. I do!!
