“To refuse to pay my debts of gratitude is to live with an inflated view of myself.”- Andy Stanley
“Unexpressed gratitude is communicated as ingratitude.” – Andy Stanley
Last night I couldn’t sleep so I watched an online sermon of Andy Stanley and as you can probably guess, from reading the quotes above, it was about thankfulness and gratitude. It’s amazing what the words “Thank you” can do when they are said meaningfully to another person. I have decided to say these two words much more often and I’m pretty excited about it.
Here are a few bible verses that talk about thankfulness.
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances,
for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. (Col 2:6-7)
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Phil 4:6)
