First, it was a 3 week missions trip to Palestine and Israel to coach basketball.
(One of the other coaches and myself with some of the children)
Then, it was an 11 month journey all around the world to 11 different countries, declaring the truth of the Gospel and loving on the least of these
(My Q Squad Family)
Followed by an 8 month period of training and equipping in Georgia.
(Myself with CGA and AIM staff at Graduation)
And now, it’s finally here……
That BIG moment…….
When all those worlds come clashing together…….
And I answer the question for you all of “WHAT’S NEXT?”….
(As if I couldn’t drag it on forever, right? ;))
I am beyond thrilled to announce that I will be RETURNING TO THE FIELD in July to lead a new generation of World Racers through the first five months of their trip!!
These past years have all been training and equipping me for this next season in my life. At the time each one was happening, I couldn’t see the bigger picture. I could only see what was in front of me and I was honored and blessed that the Lord allowed me to be a part of it.
But now, the Lord has broadened my gaze. And I see how it has all been for a purpose.
In Palestine, God began to develop my love for the nations. On the World Race, He opened my eyes to the world around me and allowed me to experience brokenness. He started to develop my character and leadership style that also continued into my time at The Center for Global Action (CGA).
Most importantly, the Lord took me to deeper depths of intimacy and relationship with Him. In CGA I have learned all the more how to live a life submitted to God and His plans for me. If you had asked me three years ago if I would be were I am today, I would have said “NO WAY!”
My plan was to be a full time Athletic Trainer for Division I basketball. Then Jesus interrupted my life in a drastic way and it’s been an awesomely wild and crazy journey that I wouldn’t have done any other way!
The World Race radically changed my life and I am so excited to be a part of a new squad’s journey. Squad leading is not something that I entered into lightly, but was bathed in prayer and godly council. This has been years in the making and the cool thing is that one year ago this time, I was in Turkey for the last month of my Race. It was there that I received my acceptance letter from CGA to become equipped for Squad leading. And now it’s finally here. Thank you Jesus!
I am so excited for this next season. Training camp is in just a few weeks and I can’t wait to meet my squad. Until then, I am praying for them and for my co-leaders. Please join me in prayer!
In order to squad lead, I will be fundraising $6,500. I am starting off my fundraising by asking for people to donate $27 for my 27th birthday which is this Wednesday (May 13th). Would you prayerfully consider supporting this next venture with the Lord?
I want to thank each and every supporter, both prayer warriors and financial supporters. This would not be possible without you and I am extremely blessed by you!!!!
