As I have previously mentioned, team changes have occurred. So, allow me to introduce you to my new team:

     RELENTLESS LIGHT!!!!!

*I tried to post a photo of my new team, but the internet was not allowing me to. Sorry! But know I will post one as soon as I can!*

I am no longer on an all-girl team. Neither am I on a team with any of the girls from team Mosaic. Relentless Light consists of three single girls, two single guys, and one married couple. Though I am sad to say goodbye to the girls of Mosaic, I am beyond excited for this new season with my new team.

Phil is our team leader. He is a servant leader and has been selflessly cooking squad dinners these past few days of debrief with the help of Michelle, our squad safety leader. (We’ve been eating like kings and queens, thanks guys!). Phil has a passion for the Lord like few others and I am excited to learn from him and grow in this.

Tina has an intercessor’s heart. She is a powerful prayer warrior. She has a thirst for the Word and a hunger for knowledge. I am hoping her hunger will rub off on me.

Josh is form the South and is gifted with visions. God speaks to him a lot through visions and he is able to bring forth the truth and interpret them. I know I will learn a lot from him. He’s full of fun facts and he has blessed me so much already.

Alexis is one of my good friends. She is also one of our logistics persons. She is a gifted prophet and prayer warrior as well. She is filled with a boldness and strength as well as a gentleness that comforts. I can’t wait to be challenged by her to be bold. She has a confidence that I want to learn from her as well.

Kari and Ben are our married couple. They show such love and affection for each other and I know I will learn what it means to be a true godly couple from them. Kari is a gifted discerner. She sees things in the spiritual that others do not. I’m hoping to become more sensitive to these things as she shares what she sees and opens our eyes to be able to see it too. Ben is a talented musician/singer and teacher. He’s willing to help teach me how to play guitar, which I am super pumped about. I also know he has a lot to offer in teaching the Word. He has been a pastor and has a formal education, so I am excited to be able to learn more of a knowledge of the Word from him.

During our first team meeting, we needed to come up with a name for ourselves. As we started discussing words, relentless was put onto the table. I absolutely love this word. During my senior year of college basketball, it was my team’s word. We had it on a big poster in our locker room and it was a word we chanted often. It reminds me of good times.

Relentless is defined as “(something) that does not relent; unyieldingly severe, strict or harsh; unrelenting.” (thank you dictionary.com ;)) We want that for our team. Not that we would speak or act harshly, but that we would be unrelenting with spreading the Gospel. One of my team mates pointed out that the enemy is relentless with his pursuit of us. He tries everything in his power to stop us, to stop the Kingdom of God from coming forth and growing. He comes to steal, kill, and destroy and he is unrelenting as he does so. As children of the Light, we need to be relentless with our pursuit of the Lord and relentless as we bring forth the Kingdom. This word sparks so much passion in me.

When we think of the Light, we are thinking of Jesus. But what is light? Light to us is truth; it’s life. It’s redemption. It’s restoration. It’s freedom. The Kingdom of God is light. Put these words together and you get Relentless Light. We will relentlessly bring forth the Kingdom of God. We will relentlessly shine our lights in the darkest of places, brings freedom for the captives. We will relentlessly search out God’s people, bringing hope, restoration, freedom, and the Light. I am beyond excited for this new season.
