This past week God has just been blowing me away with the provision for my squad, R squad. We have a facebook group page where we can connect, share testimonies, give praise reports, and ask for prayer. I have loved this page! It has been such an awesome way to get to "meet" my squad mates before we officially meet at training camp (which is only 38 days away!!!!!!!) This past week, our page has been LOADED with praise reports to God's provision!!!
Squad mates are receiving financial blessings to go towards their trip.
Relationships are being healed amongst families.
People are being PHYSICALLY HEALED in the Name of Jesus!
HOLLLAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm reminded of a quote C.S. Lewis' book, The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.
"Aslan is on the move!"
(For those unfamiliar with this series: 1) Aslan represents Jesus and 2) you should really read them!!!! ;))
GOD IS MOVING AMONGST R SQUAD!!!!!
As I have been reading all these wonderful praise reports, God has made me aware of just how special R squad is. He has HAND CHOSEN our squad to come together FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS! He has blessed my squad with individual and specific giftings for this squad alone, to fulfill the purposes that He has intended for us! We are so blessed! I just know that God has BIG things in store for R squad. The excitement and intensity of it wells up within me, I feel as though I might burst!!!
As I have been reflecting on that, I have been overwhelmed -almost to the point of tears- with love for my squad mates. It is amazing how God can bring such complete strangers together to be united in serving for His purposes. I love my squad mates so much— and I haven't even met them yet!!!!! This just blows my mind! I see their giftings, even in those who don't see it themselves yet. I see God moving, I see Him working and I feel, what I am sure is only a mere smigen of what He feels in His love for them- and I want to cry! There are so many powerful prayer warriors amongst us. I am just so blessed to be apart of R squad. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is exactly where I belong, apart of this squad, a part of ouR squad.
We haven't even left yet- in fact we haven't even MET yet- but I am beginning to learn what it means to love strangers. The Love of the Father is fierce. And I want to know what that feels like.
And the BEST part is……….. this is only the beginning…… 🙂
I've done this before, but I'm declaring this over my squad today:
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon [R squad],
because the Lord has anointed [R squad]
to bring good news to the poor;
he has sent [Rsquad] to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor,
and the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all who mourn;
3 to grant to those who mourn in Zion—
to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness instead of mourning,
the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit;
that they may be called oaks of righteousness,
the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.
4 [R squad] shall build up the ancient ruins;
[R squad] shall raise up the former devastations;
[R squad] shall repair the ruined cities,
the devastations of many generations."
Isaiah 61:1-4 (R squad added in replacement of "me" and "they")
To my squad mates: I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!! You are mighty men and women of God and I can not wait to officially meet you in May and to travel the world together and further God's Kingdom!!! Glory to God!
