What?!?! We only have 12 days left until we touch down on American soil! Where did these past 332 days go? It is crazy to think about all of the amazing things that we have been able to experience over these past 11 months, and now this chapter of our storybook is coming to an end.
I am super excited to go home and be with the people I love, but this has been my family this past 11 years. We all have shared the good and the bad moments together, and during those times learned how to love with Christ-like love. You have all taught me what it is like to love, even in times when we don’t feel like it. For that, I say, “Thank You!”
To everyone that has supported me this past 11 months, thank you! You have each been on this journey with me and have watched and read about all of the God-stories that have happened. You have prayed for me relentlessly and have supported me in ways that I will be forever grateful! Thank you for teaching me what it means to be a prayer warrior and supporter.
This past month has been filled with limited internet, limited electricity, which equals no fans in 100 degree weather, and limited access to the comforts of anything. This has required me to rely on God even more! When everything is stripped away, you have no other choice than to completely surrender and rely on God to give you the strength to get through the day.
On top of the 100 degree weather, we have been doing manual labor, which I have loved! Even though I have never sweat more in my life, I love seeing the results of good hard work! We also get to teach English, and I have met this student named Rotan, who is precious! One of Rotan’s favorite games to play is banana grams. If I must say so myself…she is getting really good! I will miss her smile and spunk!
As our ministry and race comes to an end, I can’t help but be overwhelmed with awe of God and how He has brought us each through this race! We have all learned so much, and it is because of Him and His love that we have made it and been a part of God’s storybook for each of us!
